Lemont Donates Charity Event Funds To Local Organizations
The Drive for Charity was held on May 9 and 100 percent of the proceeds from the event are donated back to the community.
LEMONT, IL — At the Lemont village board meeting on June 24, Mayor John Egofske distributed checks from the Mayor's Drive for Charity. Egofske said over $32,000 was raised from the event and he thanked volunteers, sponsors, vendors and village staff for their help.
Checks were distributed to:
- Bethany Lutheran Church
- Cub Scout Pack 249
- Hope and Friendship Foundation
- Lemont Township Summer Voucher Fund
- Lemont Township Medical Reserve Corps
- Lemont Area Historical Society
- Lemont Band Boosters Association
- Lemont Citizens Police Academy Association
- Lemont High School Band Parents Association
- Lemont VFW Post 5819
- Lemont Juniorettes
- Lemont Lions Club
- Lemont Police Benevolent Association
- Lemont Township Family Assistance Fund
- Lemont Township Seniors Association
- Little Mountain Community Theatre
- School District 113A Educational Foundation
- Lemont Rotary Club
- Seniors and Law Enforcement Together
