Lemont Family Searching for Lost Dog

A Lemont family is desperately searching for their lost dog, a beloved chocolate lab named Athena.

She was last seen five days ago wearing a pink collar which the tags had fallen off, and is not microchipped. She weighs about 80 pounds. She went missing Thursday, March 24 after being let outside into the family's yard. 

"It's horrible to think someone could have removed her from our yard, but we are looking at all possibilities," owner Courtney Connelly wrote on social media. "Still searching for our girl and so grateful for all the beautiful people out there, many complete strangers, helping to get our dog back to us."

Connelly warns that people should not chase or call to Athena, but instead call 630-824-7741 if you see Athena.
