Lemont Football Heads To Quarterfinals
Lemont will face Chicago's Kenwood at LHS at 5 p.m. on Saturday.
LEMONT, IL — For the second year in a row, the Lemont High School football team has advanced to the quarterfinals for the IHSA Class 6A playoffs.
Lemont defeated Quincy Senior High School 38-24 in the second round of playoffs. This is the 12th time in program history that Lemont has advanced to the quarterfinals, according to LHS.
Lemont went undefeated in the regular season and is now 11-0. The team was seeded No. 1 in the playoffs.

Next, Lemont will face Chicago's Kenwood at LHS at 5 p.m. on Saturday. Kenwood is 8-3, and was seeded No. 13 in the playoffs.
The winner of Saturday's game will advance to the semifinals and play against the winner of Crete-Monee and East St. Louis.

The Class 6A championship will be held Nov. 26 in Champaign.
Tickets must be purchased online, and are available for $7 with a $1 service fee.
