​Lemont High School Announces Summer Reading Selections

LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School has announced its summer reading selections for the 2018-19 school year. Over the summer, all students will be required to read various works depending on what English course they will be enrolled in next year, the school said.

English I

• How to Read Literature Like a Professor by Thomas C. Foster

English II

• A Land of Permanent Goodbyes by Atia Abawi

English II Honors

• The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
• How to Read Literature Like a Professor by

English III

• The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson

English III: AP Language & Composition

• Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer

English IV (students may choose one of the following, or a memoir of their choice with parent permission)

• Born a Crime by Trevor Noah
• Brain On Fire: My Month of Madness by Susannah Cahalan
• We Should Hang Out Sometime by Josh Sundquist

English IV: AP Literature & Composition
