Lemont High School Approves 2021-22 School Calendar

LEMONT, IL — At its meeting in January, the Lemont High School District 210 Board of Education approved the Lemont High School calendar for the 2021-22 school year.

The district said the first day of attendance for freshmen and transfer students will be Aug. 13. The first full day of attendance for all students will be Aug. 16.

Winter break begins at the end of the day on Dec. 22, and classes resume following the break on Jan. 11. Spring break will begin at the end of the day on March 25, with classes resuming on April 4. The last day of school tentatively is scheduled for May 26. Graduation is set for May 27.

The highlights of the school calendar include:

• Aug. 11-12 - Teacher Institute Days
• Aug. 13 - First Day of School – Freshmen/transfer students only
• Aug. 16 - First Day of School – All students
• Sept. 3 - Early Release – 1 p.m.
• Sept. 6 - No School – Labor Day
• Sept. 23 - School Improvement Day (classes release at 11:15 a.m.)
• Oct. 8 - School Improvement Day (classes release at 11:15 a.m.)
• Oct. 11 - No School
• Oct. 13 - Student Testing (testing begins at 8 a.m.; classes release at TBA)
• Nov. 11 - No School – Veterans Day
• Nov. 24 - Early Release – 1 p.m. (classes begin at 8 a.m.)
• Nov. 25-26 - No School – Thanksgiving Holiday
• Dec. 22 - Early Release – 1 p.m. (classes begin at 8 a.m.); End of First Semester/Winter Break begins at end of day
• Jan. 10 - No School – Teacher Institute Day
• Jan. 11 - Classes resume following Winter Break
• Jan. 17 - No School – Martin Luther King’s Birthday
• Feb. 21 - No School – Presidents Day
• Feb. 24 - School Improvement Day (classes release at 11:15 a.m.)
• March 15 - No School
• March 25 - Early Release – 1 p.m./Spring Break begins at end of day
• April 4 - Classes resume following Spring Break
• April 8 - School Improvement Day (classes release at 11:15 a.m.)
• April 12 - Tentative Student Testing (classes release at TBA)
• April 15 - No School
• April 25 - No School – Teacher Institute Day
• May 26 - Tentative Last Day of School
• May 27 - Graduation

  According to the district, in the instance of inclement weather or other unforeseen events that would prevent school from being held on campus, class instruction will continue through the use of Remote Learning Days. If it is not possible to implement a Remote Learning Day, the following are designated as make-up days: May 27, May 31, June 1-3.
