Star-studded lineup will include Common, JenniferHudson, The Band Perry, Demi Lovato, Nick Jonas, Colbie Caillat, and Paul Rudd.

Last spring, members of Lemont High School’s award-winning band program participated in the first-ever “We Day Illinois” event at Allstate Arena in Rosemont. Viewers from across the country soon will have the opportunity to watch that performance! The National We Day broadcast will air on ABC at 7 p.m. (CST) on Friday, August 21.
Lemont’s band will congregate on August 21 for a viewing party at Gelsosomo’s Pizza (206 Main Street, Lemont) as its members see the broadcast show for the first time.
Lemont’s band program has won state championships, appeared on television, and played a wide variety of high profile events. However, taking part in “We Day Illinois” was unique; Lemont was one of only two bands from the state to play at the event. Lemont’s band was left less than two weeks for its Winds and Percussion sections to prepare for a memorable assignment: accompanying Grammy and Academy Award-winning artist Jennifer Hudson in the “We Day” finale.
