LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School students will soon head back to school for the 2019-20 school year. District 210 has released its school calendar for the year, which is full of important dates to remember for both parents and students.

The calendar includes dates like winter and spring break, holidays, conferences and half days. Here is the list of days you should know for this school year:


August

  • Aug. 13 - First day of school for new students only
  • Aug. 14 - First day of school for all students

September

  • Sept. 2 - Labor Day, no school
  • Sept. 12 - Half-day, school improvement day, classes dismiss at 11:15 a.m.

October

  • Oct. 5 - Homecoming Dance at 6:30 p.m.
  • Oct. 14 - Columbus Day, no school
  • Oct. 16 - Student testing, dismiss at noon. No senior attendance.
  • Oct. 31 - Half-day, school improvement day, classes dismiss at 11:15 a.m.

November

  • Nov. 11 - Veterans Day, no school
  • Nov. 14 - Half-day, school improvement day, classes dismiss at 11:15 a.m.
  • Nov. 27 - Early release, classes dismiss at 1 p.m. for Thanksgiving holiday
  • Nov. 28-29 - Thanksgiving holiday, no school

December

  • Dec. 18-20 - First semester final exams
  • Dec. 20 - Winter break begins at end of day

January

  • Jan. 6 - Teacher Institute Day, no school
  • Jan. 7 - Classes resume
  • Jan. 20 - Martin Luther King Jr. Day, no school

February

  • Feb. 6 - Half-day, school improvement day, classes dismiss at 11:15 a.m.
  • Feb. 14 - Early release, classes dismiss at 1 p.m.
  • Feb. 17 - President's Day, no school

March

  • March 17 - Teacher Institute Day, no school
  • March 27 - Early release, classes dismiss at 1 p.m. Spring break begins at end of day.

April

  • April 6 - Classes resume
  • April 10 - No School
  • April 14 - Student testing, classes dismiss at 1 p.m. No senior attendance.
  • April 20 - Teacher Institute Day, no school.

May

  • May 21 - Tentative last day of school
  • May 22 -Graduation at 7:30 p.m.
