Lemont High School Named To AP Honor Roll For Third Straight Year
LHS has earned AP Honor Roll "Silver" recognition for the third straight year.
LEMONT, IL — Thanks to another record-setting performance from its students on the college-level Advanced Placement exams last spring, Lemont High School has been cited to the 2025 AP School Honor Roll. It earned AP Honor Roll “Silver” recognition for the third straight year, the school shared in a news release.
The AP School Honor Roll recognizes schools that have done outstanding work to welcome more students into AP courses and support them on the path to college success, according to LHS. Schools are rated in the areas of “College Culture” (percent of recently graduated seniors who took at least one AP exam in their careers), “College Credit” (percent of recently graduated seniors who passed at least one AP exam in their careers), and “College Optimization” (percent of recently graduated seniors who took five or more AP exams in their careers, including at least one as a freshman or sophomore).
To receive AP Honor Roll Silver recognition, LHS said that schools must score at least 50 percent in “College Culture,” at least 30 percent in “College Credit,” and at least 5 percent in “College Optimization.” Lemont’s “College Credit” score (46 percent) met the criteria for the Gold designation, and its “College Optimization” score (26 percent) met the standard for Platinum recognition. Its “College Culture” score (57 percent) met the Silver criteria but was short of the standard for Gold recognition.
