Lemont High School Open, Delayed Start Thursday

Lemont High School will be in session on Thursday, January 8, but will follow a PLC schedule. Buses are expected to run at their normal times, and classes will begin at 8:40 a.m. as they typically do on PLC days.

All practices, meetings and zero hour classes scheduled before school will be cancelled, but all after-school practices and competitions will occur as scheduled (depending on the availability of opponents).

District administrators encourage students who typically walk to school to attempt to secure a ride from a friend or parent if possible, and encourage bus riders to arrive at their stops as close to the scheduled time as possible in order to limit their amount of time in the cold temperatures.

The district expects that buses will be operating properly, but would communicate any issues with bus transportation as soon as possible if they were to occur.

All student absences—including those that can be attributed to the cold temperatures—should be reported to the Attendance Office at (630) 243-3202.
