Lemont High School Plans Eighth Grade Open House

LEMONT, IL — Lemont High School will host its annual eighth grade open house Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. The event provides an opportunity for current eighth grade students and their parents/guardians to meet Lemont High School teachers, counselors and administrators, the school said. The school has also scheduled its mandatory freshman placement exam for Saturday, Nov. 9.

Any incoming student who lives within the school’s attendance boundaries, or who will live within those boundaries during the 2020-21 school year, is encouraged to take advantage of the “sneak peek” the open house provides, the school said. Lemont High School’s attendance boundaries include Lemont and portions of Darien, Downers Grove and Woodridge.

Attendees will learn about the academic and extra-curricular programs offered by Lemont High School. The school said prospective students and their parents/guardians may also visit various areas throughout the building as well, including the school’s athletic facilities, the Performing Arts Center, and the newly revamped CITGO Innovation Academy.
