Lemont High School Prepping for Annual Wellness 5K Walk in April
The event will be held Sunday, April 26.

Though it’s hard to believe with snow still on the ground and temperatures seemingly afraid to move past 32 degrees, spring is indeed around the corner. Anticipating warmer weather ahead, Lemont High School has begun preparations for an event that can bring the community together as it celebrates its 125th Anniversary in 2015. The Annual Wellness 5K Walk is scheduled for Sunday, April 26, at Lemont High School. Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit Lemont’s Hope & Friendship Foundation.
Lemont High School’s Wellness Committee has organized the Annual Wellness 5K Walk, which not only will give the entire community a chance to get a little exercise on a Spring Sunday morning, but also will give people a chance to provide financial assistance to an area charity dedicated to serving those who are less fortunate or are in need of emotional support.
Participants will have the opportunity to choose from two different 5K routes – a more challenging course that tackles the hilly neighborhoods that surround Lemont High School’s campus, or a leisurely stroll around the track at the school’s football field. There’s a route for everyone! Both routes will begin at Lemont High School’s football field.
