Lemont High School Releases 2023-24 School Calendar

LEMONT, IL — Although there are still a few months left of the current school year, Lemont High School has already released its 2023-24 calendar for the next school year, which begins in August.

The 2023-24 school year will begin on Aug. 15 for freshmen and transfer students, and Aug. 16 for all students. The 2023-24 school year will tentatively wrap up on May 24, 2024, for non-seniors.

Some other important dates to know include:

• Sept. 4, no school, Labor Day
• Oct. 3, School Improvement Day (classes release at 11:15 a.m.)
• Oct. 9, No school
• Nov. 7 - School Improvement Day (classes release at 11:15 a.m.)
• Nov. 20-24, no school, Thanksgiving break
• Nov. 27, Classes resume following Thanksgiving Break
• Dec. 21, Early Release – 1 p.m. (students only)
• Dec. 22 - Early Release – 1 p.m./End of First Semester/Winter Break begins at end of day
• Jan. 8, 2024, No school, teacher institute day
• Jan. 9, 2024, Classes resume following winter break
• Jan. 15, 2024, No school, Martin Luther King’s Birthday (observed)
• Feb. 1, 2024, School Improvement Day (classes release at 11:15 a.m.)
• Feb. 16, 2024, Early release, 1 p.m.
• Feb. 19, 2024, No school, Presidents' Day
• March 14, 2024, School Improvement Day (classes release at 11:15 a.m.)
• March 19, 2024, eLearning Day (due to Election Day)
• March 28, 2024, Early release, 1 p.m./Spring Break begins at end of day
• April 8, 2024, Classes resume following spring break
• April 22, 2024, No school, teacher institute day
• May 16, 2024, Last day of attendance (seniors)
• May 17, 2024, Graduation
• May 24, 2024, Tentative last day of school (freshmen, sophomores, juniors)
