Lemont, Homer Glen Choir For Older Adults Starts First Session

LEMONT, IL — Older adults in Lemont and Homer Glen who enjoy singing can join the Sounds Good! Choir. The daytime choir for adults 55 and older will begin its fall session Sept. 6. The choir meets every Friday from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Christ Community Church, 13400 Bell Road, in Lemont.

The brand-new choir will rehearse under Mary Doughty Mauch, who conducts the Wheaton/Glen Ellyn Sounds Good! Choir and has also helped with Lemont High school performances.

Organizers said tuition is $175 for the session, which will include 15 weeks of regular rehearsals and a local concert on Sunday, Dec. 15. There is no audition or experience necessary to join the choir.
