Lemont Hornets Team Heads To Super Bowl

LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Hornets 10U team will head to the league's Super Bowl game on Nov. 10. The 10U team is part of the Bill George Youth Football League and defeated the Bartlett Raiders to advance to the Super Bowl.

According to Kristin Zator, a parent involved with the team, the players have had quite a few successful seasons. As an 8U team in 2016, the team had an undefeated season and while there is no Super Bowl at that age, they won their 'bowl' game against Bartlett.

In 2017, the 9U team defeated Bartlett in double overtime to win the Super Bowl championship. Now, the team is headed to the Super Bowl once again, this time against the Tri-City Chargers.

The game will be played at Benedictine University at 11:30 a.m.
