Lemont Hosts Spring Recycling Day

The event will be held April 14 at the Lemont Metra Station.

LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Environmental Advisory Commission will host a Spring Recycling Day on Saturday, April 14. According to the village, the event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lemont Metra Station, 101 Main St.

The event is intended for household recycling, not commercial use. Items accepted include: motor oil, documents, electronics, prescription medication, toner cartridge, printer inks, cellphones, CFL light bulbs, batteries, glasses/hearing aids and bicycles. There will also be a food collection for the food pantries.

Televisions, monitors and microwaves will not be accepted. Residents can utilize Waste Management's At Your Door Special Collection service for those items. Paper recycling is limited to 100 pounds per citizen.
