Lemont Implements 9 P.M. Curfew For Monday, Tuesday
The curfew will be from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on both Monday and Tuesday.

LEMONT, IL — The village of Lemont is once again instituting a 9 p.m. local curfew, this time for Monday and Tuesday night. According to the village, there have been no direct threats to Lemont, and the curfew is in place to assist in local and area policing efforts.
The curfew will be from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on both Monday and Tuesday.
The village advised residents to stay off the roadway, so public safety officials can respond efficiently to incidents as they may arise. Again, the village said businesses should close by 9 p.m. each night and remain closed until 6 a.m. the next day.

There are some areas of town blocked off, as well as an additional police presence around storefronts and plazas, the village said.
"Please be aware this action is not due to direct threats, but only out of an abundance of caution," the village said. "The village continues to take precautions to ensure the safety of Lemont residents and businesses. We will continue to monitor any unrest in the region and work with our neighboring agencies to address issues that may arise."
