Lemont Indians - Cooperstown, NY

The Lemont Indians 12U Americans team returned from Cooperstown finishing in the top 32 teams of 104 teams at Dreams Park.  The team went 4-2 in pool play against tough teams from North Carolina, California, Alabama, Michigan and New York.  The team went 1-1 in the top 32 beating a team from North Carolina with a walk off 3 run home run by Anthony Fornero in the bottom of the 6th and a complete pitching game by Jack Szoldatits.  The Indians also blew open a game with four home runs in a row.  The Indians eventually lost to the number one seed from Michigan who won the entire tournament.  The Indians had a final record of 5-3 in Cooperstown and 29-15 for the year.  Standing from Left to right Coach Mike Fornero, Coach Dave Szoldatits, James Pender, Anthony Fornero, Henry Roe, Billy Bozue, Coach Matt Brady and Coach Joe Sambucci.  Kneeling left to right Michael O'Shea, Jake Pulido, Anthony Sambucci, Jack Brady, Vince Connolly and Matthew Kopec.  Multiple home runs were hit by:  James Pender, Anthony Fornero, Henry Roe, Michael O'Shea Jack Szoldatits and Jake Pulido.
