Lemont Library Collects Items For Veterans

LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Public Library is partnering for the 10th year with the Lemont-Homer Glen Rotary Club and the Lemont VFW Post 5819 to collect donations for the veterans at the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans in Wheaton and the Fisher House at the Hines V.A. Hospital, also in Wheaton. Donations will be collected from Oct. 1 to Nov. 13.

According to the library website, for each item donated from the veteran's wish lists, you will receive a coupon for $1 off library fines or $1 of free printing (up to a maximum of $10 per account).

Items needed for the Fisher House include: grocery store gift cards, liquid detergent for washers, fabric softener sheets, fresh fruit, juices, packaged lunch meats, paper towels, bath tissue, cleaning supplies, coffee supplies and more.
