Lemont Library Receives Grant For STEM Programming
Programming and open lab hours will begin in January.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont Public Library recently received a grant from CITGO to fund launch into STEM programs. The $15,000 grant will be designed to engage middle school students in hands-on, interested based interaction with science education.
According to a release, CITGO’s grant will enable the library to equip a Teen STEM Lab with appropriate technology, including a 3D printer and a zSpace: Virtual Reality Learning experience computer. Launch into STEM Learning will include open lab hours as well as bi-monthly programs planned and presented in collaboration with CITGO employees with science expertise.
Look for more news throughout the fall and a special Launch into STEM Event in early January. According to the release, programming and open lab hours will begin in January.
