Lemont Lightning Holds Second Inclusive Softball Camp
Kids from all over the tri-county area, including Lemont, Homer Glen, Romeoville and Lockport, attended the camp.
LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Lightning Baseball and Softball Club, in partnership with Northern Will SRA and SEAPSPAR, held its second Inclusive Softball Camp this summer. The camp started in July and ran until Aug. 4 and was aimed at children with special needs ages 8 to 18.
“Each year we are looking to add more players to come out and play,” said Guy Maniscalo, head trainer. “We have kids from all over the tri-county area, Lemont, Homer Glen, Romeoville and Lockport."
He added that players and coaches volunteer their time to help with the camp and paraprofessionals from Northern Will SRA are on-site during camp. The camp was held at Miracle Field at the Lemont Park District.
