Lemont Man Charged In Stabbing Incident: Cops
A Lemont man has charged with aggravated battery after stabbing someone with a knife, police said.

LEMONT, IL — A Lemont man has charged with aggravated battery after stabbing someone with a knife, police said. Joseph Lund, of the 16100 block of New Avenue, was charged with one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and one count of criminal damage to property. Lemont Police responded to the 700 block of Ledochowski at 8:35 a.m. Thursday after receiving a report of the stabbing.
According to police, Lund had fled the scene in his vehicle but was found a short time later at State Street and Custer. He had also damaged the victim's cell phone. The victim was hospitalized for injuries, but has been released.
Lund will remain at Lemont Police Department lockup tonight and will be transported to the Bridgeview courthouse for a bond hearing on Friday morning.
