Lemont Man Hits Building, Kicks Police Officer: Lockport PD

Stevens was booked into the Will County Adult Detention Center, and will appear in bond court Tuesday.

LEMONT, IL — A 22-year-old Lemont man was arrested in Lockport on Monday after hitting a building and kicking a police officer, police said. Daniel Stevens, 22, of the 13200 block of South Archer Avenue, in Lemont, was charged with disregarding a stop sign, unlawful squealing/screeching tires, DUI and aggravated battery to a police officer.

According to police, Stevens was seen hitting a building at 10:15 p.m. Monday in the 800 block of Commerce Street in Lockport and then ran through three stop signs. He finally hit a curb and stopped in the 400 block of South Hamilton Street.

Police said Stevens was then arrested for DUI, and he became combative with officers, and kicked one officer in the chest. The officer involved in the arrest is not injured.
