Lemont Man Receives Honorable Mention In Preserve's Photo Contest
A Lemont man has received an honorable mention in the September portion of the Will County Forest Preserve District photo contest.
LEMONT, IL — A Lemont man has received an honorable mention in the September portion of the Will County Forest Preserve District's photo contest. Michael Daley took a photo of beautifully lit fungus on a log along Centennial Trail in Romeoville, the preserve said.
The district's 'Preserve the Moment' photo contest takes place every month. This month, a Joliet woman won the contest with her photo of a sunset at Lake Renwick Heron Rookery Nature Preserve.
The winning photo from each month will compete with all other monthly finalists after the contest ends on Dec. 31, the district said. Contest participants may enter up to five digital photos per month. All photos must be uploaded via the district’s contest upload page. Photos must be taken by amateur photographers age 18 or older, and they must be snapped in a Will County forest preserve during the contest period, which began April 1.
