Lemont Park District CORE Reopening July 1
The fitness center and indoor track will be open, and fitness classes will be offered with registration required.

LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Park District will reopen its CORE Fitness & Aquatic Complex on July 1. According to a letter to the community, social distancing and face coverings will be required to enter the facility.
The fitness center and indoor track will be open with capacity limits and Group X fitness classes will be offered indoors and outdoors by registration only. According to the park district, the indoor pool is open for specific programming only. There is also no open gym at this time.
Many residents have questioned if playgrounds will be opening with phase 4, but the park district said information regarding playgrounds opening is not available.

"As soon as we receive details and guidelines, we will provide an update to the community," the park district said in the letter.
The Centennial Outdoor Aquatic Center remains open for fitness-related programming like lap swim, masters swim and aqua aerobics. The Dolphins Swim Team will begin practicing in July, and swim lessons will also be offered with various guidelines in place, the park district said in the letter.
