Lemont Park District Event 'Power To The Pink' Raises Funds To Combat Breast Cancer

Lemont Park District will hold "Power To The Pink" an event where 10 teams will compete in 10 different challenge and raise funds.

LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Park District will kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Power To The Pink, an event that will challenge residents to raise funds to combat breast cancer. The event will be held at the CORE, 16028 127th St., in Lemont from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 30.

According to the park district, those who want to participate the event should gather friends, co-workers, family, and get a team together. There will be 10 teams and 10 challenges in a circuit environment in the CORE gym. An after-party for the event will be held at Gelsosomo's Pizzeria and Pub.

The park district said this fun-filled event will directly benefit the Hope & Friendship Foundation's "Cancer" fund to assist those living with this terrible disease right here in Lemont. If you would like to register for the event, you can visit the park district website.
