Lemont Park District Launches 'Unplug Lemont'

Unplug Illinois promotes healthier lifestyles, sustainable environments, thriving economies and engaged communities.

LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Park District has announced the launch of the Unplug Lemont campaign for 2019. Unplug Lemont is part of Illinois Park and Recreation Association’s Unplug Illinois movement, a statewide initiative designed to get people to “unplug” and enjoy active play opportunities at parks and recreational facilities across Illinois.

According to the park district, Unplug Illinois promotes healthier lifestyles, sustainable environments, thriving economies and engaged communities. Lemont Park District’s Unplug Lemont will feature various programs throughout the year.

This initiative kicked off with the park district’s “Spring Break Adventure Day Camp,” that took place March 25-29 at The CORE Fitness and Aquatic Complex in Lemont. The park district said this week-long program was a condensed version of the district's Summer Day Camp program and hosted over 60 children throughout the week.
