Lemont Park District Welcomes SEASPAR Eagles To Town

EAGLES is a community-based program that incorporates therapeutic recreation to help adults ages 18-50 with developmental disabilities.

LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Park District and SEASPAR have announced the beginning of the Lemont EAGLES program. According to a release, EAGLES (Enhance Adult Growth Through Lifestyle Education and Service) is a community-based program that incorporates therapeutic recreation to help adults ages 18-50 with developmental disabilities.

This program emphasizes leisure independence, community outings and social interaction with peers. Through the cooperation of the village of Lemont, The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, SEASPAR and the Lemont Park District, the EAGLES program has found a home at the Lemont Safety Village, the park district said.

On Feb. 19, the Lemont Park District was joined by representatives from the village of
Lemont, the Chamber of Commerce, the Lemont Park Foundation and Lemont High School District 210 to officially welcome the SEASPAR EAGLES program to Lemont Safety Village, according to a release.

Lemont Park District Board President Brian Pepich, along with Lemont Mayor John Egofske presented Welcome Dedication plaques to SEASPAR’s Executive Director Matt Corso, and
SEASPAR Board President Dan Garvy, the park district said.
