“It seems like just yesterday when we held the 36-hour open-house event that marked The CORE’s inaugural weekend back in December of 2009. Close to 1,000 people experienced the amazing facility for free that weekend and it’s been buzzing with activity ever since. The Lemont Park District is CORE is truly the center of it all,” said Lemont Park District Sales and Marketing Director, Carrie Dellamano.

Basketball, volleyball, even baseball with indoor batting cages—you name it, this gym has it. The 3-court gymnasium at The CORE spans over 21,000 square feet maximizing Court Time for all. “Open Gym” as well as an array of other events take place here every week. Encompassing the entire Gym is an elevated indoor track. Extending a 10th of a mile around, it allows ample room for all runners and walkers year-round. The CORE also houses a modern, 6-lane indoor swimming pool measuring nearly 8,000 square feet that plays host to lap swim, water aerobics, swim meets, open swim and a variety of other aquatic events! Three deluxe workout Studios also sit inside The CORE. Yoga, dance, aerobics, kickboxing, pilates and spin—you can find it all at The CORE! Also, multi-purpose rooms are available for rental.
