Lemont Police Chief to Retire at End of Year

Lemont’s Police Chief Kevin Shaughnessy will step down from the role later this year.

Shaughnessy—who has been with the department for 11 years—announced his plan to retire to officials last week, he told Patch. The Village has posted the job opening on its website.

Shaughnessy’s last day is unclear at this time, but he said he plans to retire by the end of the year.
