Lemont Police Hiring Part-Time Patrol Officer
The department said the target starting pay is $22.50 per hour. The position is not eligible for employee benefits.
LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Police Department is looking to hire a part-time patrol police officer. The department said the position responds to calls for service, patrols assigned areas, and enforces criminal and traffic laws and village ordinances.
The job also involves investigating crimes and vehicle crashes and assisting full-time officers from the Lemont Police Department and other agencies.
The department said applicants must have the willingness to work weekend, holiday, overnight shifts and/or special events; and be committed to working at least 40 hours a month. Applicants also must have a valid driver's license, be a high school graduate, possess a Firearms Owner's ID card, and be a current full-time police officer in a municipal, county or state police agency with four years of police experience, or is retired in good standing full-time police officer in a municipal, county or state police agency with a minimum four years experience in law enforcement.
