Lemont Police Investigating String of Burglaries to Motor Vehicles

Lemont police are investigating a rash of burglaries to motor vehicles.

Few details are available about date, time or location, but the offender(s) entered unsecured vehicles and took money or any items of value left in the car.

“We ask residents to lock their cars, activate their alarm system, hide valuables or take items inside the house, and park in well lit areas if possible,” Commander Greg Smith said in an alert to residents.
