Lemont Police Raise $13K For Special Olympics Illinois

LEMONT, IL — The Lemont Cop on a Rooftop fundraiser held on May 17 raised $13,025.04 for Special Olympics Illinois. Police Chief Marc Maton thanked the community, volunteers and businesses for their support.

"I was overwhelmed by the generosity of so many. I would like to thank everyone who donated to this worthwhile cause," Maton said. "Each and every donation helped the Lemont Police Department meet its goal. You are proof that together we can make a difference!"

Maton also thanked Mayor John Egofske, village trustees, the Citizen's Police Academy Alumni Association, Lemont Public Works, Terri O'Neil and Dunkin Corporation.
