Victims Transported With Blunt Force Trauma, Person In Custody

LEMONT, IL — Two people have been seriously injured after an incident in Lemont on Monday morning, police said. The incident happened at 8:39 a.m. in the 12600 block of Briarcliffe.

Police said they responded for a well-being check and found two people with blunt force trauma at the home. Police said one victim is a woman in her 50s and the other a man in his 60s. Both were taken to the hospital for serious injuries.

According to police, the area around the home was secured and there is no threat to any citizens in the area. A person of interest known to the victims in the incident has since been located and taken into custody.
