Lemont Police to Inspect Car Seats April 26

Lemont Police will take a look at residents' car seats for free Saturday, April 26.

The free child seat safety check will be held in the parking lot of Jewel, 1202 State St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

Officers will ensure the car seat brought by the family has not been recalled, as well as providing hands on instruction on how to correctly place a child in a child safety seat.

They'll also offer tips on how to choose an age, height and weight appropriate child safety seat.
