Lemont Police Warn of Uptick in Burglaries

Lemont police are urging residents to be vigilant, after several recent burglaries in the area.

Over the last two weeks, police have responded to two confirmed residential burglaries, and one attempted residential burglary in which offenders broke in during the day and removed personal belongings and valuables. During this same timeframe, there have also been two residential burglaries in unincorporated Lemont and several others in the immediate surrounding communities.

Residents are advised to be cautious of surroundings and anything that looks out of the ordinary. If you see something suspicious, dial 911 and provide as much information as you can.
