Lemont Residents Can Drop Off Electronics At Will County Event
Lemont residents can drop off their hazardous waste and electronics at an event sponsored by Will County Land Use Department.

LEMONT, IL- Lemont residents can drop off their hazardous waste and electronics at an event sponsored by Will County Land Use Department.
The drop-off event will take place 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, March 18, at Romeoville High School, 100 N. Independence Blvd., Romeoville.
According to a release from the County, you can drop off nearly all types of electronics and household chemicals, hazardous materials and liquids. There is a limit of 2 TVs per vehicle and ID is required.

Electronic Items Accepted include: Televisions (limit 2), computers, laptops, tablets, notebooks, monitors, printers, copiers, mice, speakers, cameras, video cameras, telephones, answering machines, microwaves, radios, stereos, vacuum cleaners, toaster ovens, blenders (no glass), coffee makers (no glass), power tools, etc.
Household waste items accepted include: All types of paints/stains, old/unwanted medication, paint thinners, solvents, drain cleaners, cleaning products, rechargeable batteries, mercury and mercury items, aerosol paints and pesticides, lawn and garden chemicals and fertilizers, used oil, used oil filters, old gasoline, antifreeze, automotive/boat batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, compact fluorescent bulbs, pool chemicals and driveway sealer.

Items NOT accepted include: fireworks/explosives, agricultural wastes, fire extinguishers, ammunition, radioactive material, institutional wastes, controlled substances, alkaline batteries, business wastes, regular garbage, tires, smoke/CO detectors, medical waste/sharps, gas cylinders, appliances and dehumidifiers.
