Lemont Running Group Finishes For Winter
Group organizers said the running group averaged about 15 people running, walking or biking each week.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont's informal run club wrapped up their running season Oct. 24. The group met every Thursday for the past 33 weeks in downtown Lemont to run around the Heritage Quarry Recreation area.
Group organizers said the running group averaged about 15 people running, walking or biking each week. Runners start as a group, but then are free to follow their own pace on the trails. The group would then socialize after their runs, usually at Pollyanna Brewing Company.
The group said it tried to branch out to different restaurants and bars on the first Monday of every month.

"While there was a core group that were in attendance a majority of the nights, in total we had over 90 unique individuals join us either for the run or the after run part of the night," the group said.
The group calls itself 'YOLO,' which stands for Young Old Lemont Outdoors. The group said it has runners in their 60s as well as runners pushing strollers with one and two-year-olds along.
