Lemont Schools Come Together for Spring Choral Concert

Lemont school districts will join together for a spring choral concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 19 at LHS.

LEMONT, IL - Lemont school districts will join together for a spring choral concert at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 19 at Lemont High School Performing Arts Center.

According to a release, Lemont High School’s choir and those from Old Quarry and River Valley all will be performing, as will the high school’s A Cappella Choir. The high school choirs both are under the direction of Stephanie Cesaroni, the Old Quarry choir is headed up by Micah Brandhandler, and River Valley’s choir is directed by Allyson Zeglen and Jenna Treanor.

Lemont High School’s choir will perform a variety of pieces, including “Sound the Trumpet,” “Die Nachtigall (The Nightengale),” South African Suite” and “How Can I Keep From Singing.”

The A Cappella group will entertain with “God Only Knows” and “Feelin’ Good.”

Sophomore Elizabeth Piercy, an IHSA Solo & Ensemble Division I winner, will perform “Some Things Are Meant To Be” from Little Women.

Old Quarry’s choir will perform “Al Tambour” and “Hard Knock Life,” while River Valley will feature “Rhythm of Life” and “Fight Song.”

The high school choirs will combine for “Ritmo,” and all four groups will close the concert with a performance of “Ching a Ring Chaw.”

Attendees are encouraged to park in the Performing Arts Center Lot, Parking Garage or the West Lot, all of which are accessible off of Julia Street.
