Lemont Seeks Nominations For St. Patrick's Day Parade Queen
The contest is open to Lemont residents, high school juniors through second year college students, preferably of Irish heritage.

LEMONT, IL — St. Patrick's Day seems impossibly far away, but the village of Lemont is already seeking nominations for Queen of the St. Patrick's Day Parade. The parade will be held on Saturday, March 10 in downtown Lemont.
According to the village newsletter, nomination letters must be received by Feb. 1, 2018 and should be submitted to the Village of Lemont, 418 Main Street, Lemont, IL 60439, Attn: St. Patrick's Day Parade.
The contest is open to Lemont residents who are high school juniors through second year college students, preferably of Irish heritage, according to the newsletter. The candidate must demonstrate an active involvement in school service organizations and/or community service activities.

The nominee who is chosen will reign as Queen of the 27th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and lead this year's parade in a horse drawn carriage.
