Lemont HS Senior Chosen for Sheriff's Youth Service Medal of Honor
Mary Durkin was recognized for her volunteerism and good citizenship.

Lemont High School senior Mary Durkin has been named a Sheriff’s Youth Service Medal of Honor recipient by the Office of Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart.
Mary will be recognized along with her fellow recipients at a ceremony on December 9 at Moraine Valley Community College.
In the congratulatory letter that she received, she was lauded for her volunteer service, which shows her commitment to others and demonstrates good citizenship.
Among other activities, Mary is a senior class officer and a member of the school’s Interact community service organization. She also has been named to the honor roll consistently throughout her career at Lemont High School.
