Lemont Shares Informational Video On Sales Tax Referendum

LEMONT, IL — The village of Lemont has created an informational video about the Local Sales Tax referendum question that will be on the April 2 ballot. The village said Mayor John Egofske explains in the video why the 1 percent sales tax question is being placed on the ballot, as well as what other options the village board has available should this referendum question not pass.

You can learn more about the referendum on the village's website. The village has also developed a list of capital projects to be considered for funding over the next 5-year capital improvements.

The village said questions and answers from the March 7 Town Hall meeting will also be posted in the upcoming week.
