Lemont Softball Program to Host Youth Clinics
Clinics run several Sundays in the month of January.

The Lemont High School softball program will host three youth clinics to help aspiring softball players of all ages develop their skills for the upcoming season. Head coach Christine Traina’s program will host a hitting clinic on Sunday, January 10; a fielding clinic on Sunday, January 24; and a pitching clinic on Sunday, January 31.
The January 10 hitting camp will feature Joliet Junior College coach Emily Marino, who will provide tips, technique and instruction. Marino ranks among the all-time leaders in several offensive categories at the University of Florida. Attendees are asked to bring a bat to the clinic.
Lemont assistant coach Julie Wingerter will lead the January 31 pitching clinic. Attendees are asked to bring a catcher with them for this clinic.
The cost for each clinic is $10, and may be paid at the door. Players ages 6-8 should attend the clinics from 9 to 10:15 a.m., and players who are age nine or older should attend from 10:30 to noon.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Lemont softball program, an annual title contender in the South Suburban Conference.
All clinics will be conducted in Lemont High School’s Field House, which is accessible off of Julia Street on the southwest side of campus. Lemont High School is located at 800 Porter Street in Lemont.
