Lemont Swears In New Police Officer
Patla previously worked for the Hoffman Estates Police Department for 21 years.

LEMONT, IL — At its Monday meeting, the Lemont Village Board swore in Patrick Patla as a new police officer. Patla started his career in Matteson where he worked for seven years, and he then worked for Hoffman Estates Police Department for 21 years.
"When I decided I wanted to continue my career after retiring from Hoffman Estates, I applied for several agencies, but to be honest, Lemont was at the top of my list," Patla said.
"I'm very familiar with the village, I love the old history and architecture of the village," he said.

Patla is taking the position of an officer who retired earlier this month, Chief Marc Maton said.
"We're thrilled to have him here with his experience; we think he can add to the department," Maton said during the meeting.
