Lemont Swears In New Police Officer

Mayor John Egofske administered the oath of office to the new police officer, Moner Mousa, at Monday's board meeting.

LEMONT, IL — At the Lemont Village Board meeting on Monday, a new police officer was sworn into the Lemont Police Department.

Mayor John Egofske administered the oath of office to the new police officer, Moner Mousa, at the meeting.

Chief Marc Maton said Mousa, who is from Orland Park, comes to Lemont from the Chicago Police Department.

"He brings a lot of experience here," Maton said, adding that the department is thrilled to have him here.

"We're looking forward to you joining the force," Mayor John Egofske said.
