Lemont Township Employee Retires After 22 Years
The Lemont Township staff and village of Lemont public works said they wished Earnest the best.
LEMONT, IL — Lemont Township recently celebrated the retirement of a long-time employee. Johnnie Earnest, a long-time Lemont resident, has retired after 22 years at the township. A lunch was held in his honor and he was given a plaque by Lemont Township Highway Commissioner Mark Labno.
Earnest, 88, could be seen plowing roads for the township in the winter or cutting the grass of any township properties.
The Lemont Township staff and Village of Lemont Public Works department said they wished Earnest the best.
