Lemont Township Holds Work Day For Heritage Woodland Sanctuary

Clean-up will involve picking seeds, clearing invasive species and beautifying the area.

LEMONT, IL — Join Lemont Township in cleaning up the Heritage Woodland Sanctuary on Aug. 18. According to the township, you can meet at 8:30 a.m. at the township center, 16300 Alba St.

You should wear long pants and appropriate shoes for working in the prairie. Clean-up will involve picking seeds, clearing invasive species and beautifying the area. The township said it will provide tools, gloves and refreshments.

Clean-up dates will also be held Sept. 15 and Oct. 20.
