Lemont Township Honors Volunteers, Junior Woman's Club

Lemont Township will hold an event to honor volunteers and the Lemont Junior Woman's Club on May 8.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont Township will hold an event to honor volunteers and the Lemont Junior Woman's Club on May 8. The township said as part of the appreciation event the Junior Woman's Club will be honored at 6 p.m. for all they've done for the community.

According to the township, the safety village, numerous park district projects, education and family assistance are among their many contributions. These woman have chosen to dedicate their time and energies to support the township's Community Center at the Heritage Woodland Sanctuary for the past four years.
The many projects have included the outdoor classroom/fireplace area, park trail signs, native plant education path and the interpretation lobby area.

Volunteers will also be honored at the appreciation event, including: Pace program drivers, Let’s Chat Senior Legacy program, Open Space Committee, LEAP tutoring, Lemont Area Historical Society and many others.
