Lemont Township Offers Help with Property Reassessment
The Cook County Assessor's Office is now accepting appeals for the 2017 reassessment through June 9.

LEMONT, IL - The Cook County Assessor's Office is now accepting appeals for the 2017 reassessment through June 9. According to the township, the notices that have been mailed indicate the proposed new valuations that represent 10 percent of the market value of your residence.
The township said your 2017 taxes that will be paid in 2018 will be based on these revised values.
If a resident feels that their assessed value is high compared to similar properties or if you have had a recent purchase indicating a lower sale price/market value, now is the time to file an appeal. If your appeal is value-based only, the township is offering the option to send an email to assessor@lemonttownship.org, and the township will research comparables and send them to you.
