Lemont Township Plans 2026 Stewardship Saturdays

LEMONT, IL — To support the stewardship of the Heritage Woodland Sanctuary, Lemont Township will host several Stewardship Saturdays in 2026.

Volunteers are needed for the workdays, when there will be restoration activities, educational opportunities, and special events, according to the Township.

Here's a look at this year's schedule. Each event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon:

• April 18, Earth Day clean-up (co-sponsored by Lemont Junior Woman's Club)
• May 16, planting
• June 20, clean-up
• July 18, clean-up
• Aug. 22, clean-up
• Sept. 19, nature walk
• Oct. 17, seed harvest

Volunteers should dress for the weather and bring sunscreen, long sleeves, bug spray, filled water bottle and work gloves.
