Lemont Township Reopens Community Cafe For Older Adults

The cafe, 16300 Alba St., is open daily during the week for adults 60+.

LEMONT, IL — Lemont Township has reopened its Lemont Community Cafe for older adults 60+, as of Monday. Lunch is served daily during the week at 11:30 a.m. at the cafe, 16300 Alba St.

Seating is limited, and there are to-go meals available, according to the township. Guests should RSVP one week in advance, by calling Irene Bigott at 630-257-0515. It is $3 for lunch.

Township Facilities Director Kathy Henrikson said the seniors are excited to get back to the community center to gather for lunch.

Masks should be worn when not eating, and 6-foot social distancing is enforced, the township said. There will also be COVID-19 screening at the entrance.

The cafe is open daily during the week from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and there is Bingo from noon to 1:30 p.m.
